If you aren’t aware of Batboy Bankie, it’s time to catch up today. He returns to our pages with his new project entitled Red Rain. After recently signing to Doe Boy, this fellow Cleveland-native has curated some serious music to ride with. In these 11 tracks, all produced by Act Up Alec, we hear wondrous musical chemistry in between to creatives.

Alec has a variety of instrumental approaches, but they allow Bankie to shine the brightest over it all. Bankie has so many pockets he can cook out of, and a number of vocal registers to play with. He’s never been afraid to experiment with different genres, bending the rules of how songs are supposed to sound.

Cuts like “Caution” with Trap Geezus and “I Don’t Need You” featuring 55Bagz are true standouts, but you can’t ignore the enormous cut “Up, Up and Away”. This is featuring the legend himself, Lil B and it also has some of the most ambient production on the project. Each cut strengthens Bankie’s argument as one of the best that Buckeye state has to offer. It’s only a matter of time before the world knows this guy, until then peep the work below.
