Bensbeendead. has dropped his first single to his rollout, and it’s fantastic. “So Evil” is a synth-pop banger, and I love the lyricism. I have hummed these harmonies constantly since my first listen to the record. Here are some words on Ben’s record: “So Evil is smooth, catchy, upbeat, and showcases a bit of everything that I feel makes me special as an artist. This song is the first I made with producer Doug Schadt (Maggie Rogers, Ashe, Wet). Working on this record allowed me to push the boundaries of what I felt comfortable doing as an artist— it lead me to follow my intuition more when creating. I’ve held onto this song for so long, waiting for what felt like the right time and the right body of work to surround it. Finally, after four years, the song (and the album) is ready.”
