To be honest prolly not, but keeping the peace within your temples is at least worth an attempt. We’ve been vastly inconsistent with our writing side of Chiefers, as IG continues to be the focus. But sometimes a few songs turn out to be that good, we have to put our little piggies on the keyboard again. There is no light on in my office right now, but the computer screen illuminates my hands. Clara Zimm – Back To Reality

Seth Narley – S.A.L.Y.

South Bronx artist Seth Narley, born in Raymon Calleja, has released a new EP titled S.A.L.Y., continuing his impressive run that includes projects like A MILLBROOK STORY and NIGHT AT THE ROXY. This 5-song set features Narley’s vivid lyricism and raw, introspective flows, delivered over soulful and gritty beats. The production blends lush soul samples, violins, and emotive keyboards, creating a sound that is both graceful and hard-hitting.

Standout tracks like “Chanel Rap 24” and “Harlem Nights” showcase Narley’s dedication to his craft, pairing personal and impactful lyrics with rich, immersive instrumentation. Lo Artiz – HOLD ON

Miami-born, LA-based independent musician Lo Artiz returns with her latest single, “HOLD ON”. This track offers a rich, immersive experience, blending soothing vocals with a theme of resilience amidst personal struggles. “The song was written shortly after I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.” Artiz states, “I had been battling severe depression & an eating disorder & was looking anywhere I could for hope to keep on going.” Lo Artiz, known for her unique fusion of soul, R&B, and hip-hop influences, continues to captivate listeners with her distinctive sound.

Produced by Trey Kams and Ashton Sellars, “HOLD ON” fuses Lo’s vulnerable songwriting with her nostalgic vocals to create a beautiful track that delivers an uplifting message. It encourages listeners to persevere and reminds them that they are not alone in their battles.

London-raised Fimiguerrero has been making noise this year in the music scene, with two singles from this year accumulating a million streams each on Spotify alone, referring to hits such as “Vogue,” and “Mandy.” I was first introduced to Fimi by hearing “Vogue,” on Tiktok a few months ago, and at the time, I was hoping that song would be released, but I was let down, unfortunately. As time went on, I would periodically check back on the status of the song. Fast-forward to July, and our ears were blessed with a double feature where both “Vogue” and “Mandy,” were released in anticipation of his most recent project, New World Order.

Welcoming us with nine new tracks, Fimi proves that he can live up to the hype of the lead singles he dropped earlier this year. The production on this project is refreshing, rapping on innovative and unique beats that help Fimi find his sound. Songs such as “Racks Up,” “MVP,” and “Semolina,” are some of my personal favorites, previewing some of the songs days before the release. The flows that Fimi brings to the table are like no other, keeping the listener intrigued and wanting more. The only flaw in this project in my opinion is how short the project is, leaving us with 20 minutes worth of music across 11 tracks. Other than that, Fimi knocks it out of the park with features including YT, LEN, and Sherifflazone.

I’m sure a lot of people are familiar with Fimiguerrero and his music if they’re tapped in with the UK underground music scene. Garnering co-signs from the legendary Lancey Foux as well as collaborating, I see nothing but an extremely high ceiling for Fimi as he’s also been seen with Hardrock and possibly Ken Carson. If you’re into shorter projects, then this mixtape will be your cup of tea in anticipation of his forthcoming LP.

It’s always a good day when one of my favorite artists releases something, whether it’s a song, project, video, etc. It’s an even better day when two of my favorite artists collaborate. Wolfacejoeyy and Reuben Aziz are young superstars in the making, uniting together in previously released songs. These two have blessed us with yet another exciting new single titled “day+night.”

Leading up to this release, Reuben had been teasing this single for quite some time on both his TikTok and Instagram, creating anticipation for his audience. When I found out that wolfacejoeyy was going to be on this track, I immediately knew this was going to be a hit, knowing how spectacular their dynamic is. With smooth-sailing vocals from Reuben over an angelic production, we’re introduced to a memorable chorus, portraying his work ethic as well as his troubled love. I was a bit curious about how wolfacejoeyy was going to execute this slower production since it’s a bit different from his usual sound, but he did his thing. Welcoming an aggressive yet soft flow, wolfacejoeyy ups the tempo, displaying his signature and melodic vocals.

These two young superstars are by far my favorite artists, breaking boundaries and creating their own lane in the music scene. The refreshing sounds that both Reuben and wolfacejoeyy bring to the table are rare, giving themselves replay value, which there is a lack of in today’s music.

North Carolina-native NIKOWOODYEAR has been on my radar for quite some time, thanks to a good friend of mine showing me his catalog early on. It’s definitely long overdue for me to cover him and write about his sneaky good talent. I’ve been able to witness his growth just this year, seeing him relocate as well as collaborate with new and familiar faces. As we await his highly anticipated project titled ‘Enroute,’ NIKO has given us a new SoundCloud single titled “GELATO .!”

The versatility that NIKO carries is highly impressive, keeping fans excited about the next drop due to no song ever sounding the same and creating replay value. On “GELATO .!,” NIKO showcases his flow and wordplay, keeping the listener intrigued with his angelic vocals, complementing the production by tainykick. Applying his branded vocal chops and an array of lyrics that hit close to home, “GELATO .!,” is the perfect bridge to his upcoming project, showing a more vulnerable side to NIKO that opens up his background to his fans.

I’m beyond excited to hear what NIKO has in store for us next, teasing us with snippets on both his Instagram and Tiktok. Usually artists come and go but with the right creative direction and the team behind him, he’ll be breaking into the mainstream sooner than you think. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for NIKO’s upcoming “Enroute,” which should hopefully be blessing our ears in October.
