In April the Columbus-based emcee Blueprint dropped his latest studio effort Respect The Architect on his own Weightless Records. His first two visual offerings were for standout cuts “Silver Lining” and “Respect The Architect,” and the third is a self-directed video for the highly charged introspection piece “Perspective.”

The lyrically charged track is vivid with pertinent language, and the color display of the skyline depicted in the background runs parallel with his ills-of-violence culture narrative. A gospel laced instrumental rides as Print taps into deep philosophical treatises like, “it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t celebrate success, but understand the systematic hurdles that exist.” The Rhymesayers affiliate is currently on an extensive tour but drops gems like this from the road to keep things interesting lately.
