Kool Klux Klan/After F representee Cal Rips has finally released his highly-anticipated District of Corruption EP, and it’s a doozy. Though a slim six tracks long, it’s a personal look into Cal’s life and the trials and tribulations that he’s dealt with.

From start to finish it’s truthful raps blended with braggadocio and some great production that all comes together for a stellar final product. It’s the type of project that has you feeling like you know Cal by the end of it, which is a pure testament to his ability to draw listeners in with his captivating lyrics.

The progression since his last album Phor You is insane, though that was another well-done project from Mr. Rips. It’s clear he’s carving his own lane in hip-hop, and is sure to grab the national spotlight before long.

Keep an eye out for Cal and the rest of After F as it’s about to be a cold muthafuckin’ summer.
