Consider this an introduction to cartoon ben and roland, who just released a collaborative tape entitled ‘mom, it’s not a phase’. The 5-track EP embodies futuristic and laid-back sounds and melodic flows. The production throughout the EP is pretty impressive, including the opening track, a Bobby Johnson–produced record entitled “ultralord”. On the second track, “not a phase”, we’re exposed to really unique melodies and flows and the artists voice sound almost emo-punk like which was a personal favorite.
