For whatever reason, artists these days seem to miss the mark on eye-catching, unique titles for their music. I can’t even tell you how many people I’ve seen use boring, uninspiring titles in their music. 2 Slizzy 2 Sexy not only is a great title for a project but also encompasses the tongue-in-cheek bubbliness that the album exudes. To match the endearing goofiness of the title, Chow Lee and Cash Cobain slip seamlessly into their alter egos Chow Cobizzy and Cash Cobella. A key aspect of this project is any time Cash Cobain utters the words “what else”. The adlib serves as an alley-oop for a beautifully outlandish claim that details him and/or Chow making way more money than you or fucking any and all of the girls you’ve ever met.
Clear standouts from the project include “Hate U Delilah,” “Freak Of Di Week,” and “Vacant.” There’s something to be said about how consistently the two rappers are able to build an amusement park of a world where women, weed, and sample beats are bountiful. Stream 2 Slizzy 2 Sexy below.
