Cayo Banks is an artist that has been making a ton of noise recently. The young rapper is distinguished by his extremely distinct voice and his ability to utilize that voice in many different ways. His sound is much more melodic and you can find him singing in alot of his tracks. His melodies mixed with his distinct voice help to create a sound that is immensely fresh.
My favorite track of his right now is his latest single “Late”. First off I wanna address the immaculate production by Skep. The beat is a heavy-hitter and the bass on the track will knock your socks off. Definitely a track you need to blast on your biggest speakers. Cayo‘s vocals fit really well on this beat, providing the perfect counter to the heavy bass. The visual complements the track perfectly as well. VSN did a great job with the camerawork and the blue lighting throughout the video feels like a reflection of how the track makes you feel.
