We haven’t heard a solo full length Chance The Rapper project since 2013, but now, finally, the wait is over. We finally are pleased give you CHANCE THE MOTHERFUCKING RAPPER’S third project titled, Coloring Book. Features –amazing. Production –amazing. Chance… amazing! The project is a front to back work of art and nothing less. Chance really shows us how much he really can do on this tape; he showcases a variety of styles. He can turn a track up with songs like “Mixtape” featuring Young Thug and Lil Yachty, he can start out the tape with an intro featuring Kanye West, give you a slow, baby-making track with “Juke Jam” featuring Towkio and Justin Bieber, and everything in-between.
Lets not forget he’s also got Future, Kirk Franklin, T Pain, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz and many more on the free album. Even without the features, Chance kills every track on his own. You can hear some of that old Chance we fell in love with, including those gospel influences that we’ve known to love. Chance really shows how much he has grown not only as an artist but as a person on this project. Since Acid Rap, Chance has became Chicagoan of the Year, won the “Chicago’s Outstanding Youth” award, became a Father and much more.
Is this Chance’s best mixtape yet though? It’s hard to tell because you can’t even compare this to Acid Rap or 10 Day. It’s completely different and comes off almost as a gospel-rap album.
DC favorite Warhol.SS wanted me to tell our readers this: “Chance the Rapper is the best Christian-Gospel-rapper of all time PIID,” and this is a statement I agree with 100%. You can stream the feel-good project, Coloring Book, by Chicago and DC favorite Chance the Rapper below! Enjoy.
