Cousin Stizz has been an impressive artist all around, specifically with his intense wordplay and story-telling bars. The Massachusetts artist has been on my radar for quite a while now with his hits such as “Perfect,” “No Bells,” and “Where I Came From,” to name a few. Stizz just recently released his second track of 2023 titled “The Fan,” which is just another reason why he will be in my top 10 rotation.
The production is heavenly, accompanied by Snapz, Berg, and Dilip who create a drum-heavy track with an ethereal melody like no other. If you pay attention to this track, as well as his previous ones, you’ll notice that this song has a deeper meaning beyond the sound, stating
“Like how you ain’t wishin’ for me when I only want you to win
Know I’ma keep it too real though, sure I won’t fold, break or bend.”
What makes Cousin Stizz stand out from the rest of the game are his trials and tribulations, that he displays throughout his music, enhancing his story-telling perspective and making a track that’s memorable.
