Lil Peep

The internet rounds have been made, with everyone from XXL and The Fader to Pitchfork Vice trying to crack the code of the enigmatic genre bender that is Lil Peep. Yet they have all gotten so lost in the impossible puzzle that they missed the simplistic beauty of this rising talent that seamlessly patches together conflicting influences in a way we have yet to see done so well in rap music. The impressionable sound is infectious enough to explain the millions of plays across mediums, but this is likely the Long Island native just getting started. Peep’s next moves surrounding the release of Come Over When You’re Sober will be telling but point towards an even bigger break out push in 2017.
