Cousin Stizz
Boston rapper Cousin Stizz is certainly a DC favorite. After having a crazy year in hip-hop, which saw releases from Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean and MUCH more, Cousin Stizz’s debut mixtape Suffolk County was still of the best representations of 2015’s discerning identity.
“Shoutout,” which received a subtle co-sign by Drake, and standout tracks such as “No Bells” and “Dum Dope,” are sparse and minimalist songs that have the ability to hypnotize the listener for months at a time. With 2016 finally upon us, it Cousin Stizz‘s ability to make HITS that will forever keep him relevant. Stay tuned.
