Wow, honestly one day I’m really going to have to make it to Tokyo. This place looks tight.
Two lines into his well-received 2014 free album Days Before Rodeo, Travi$ Scott raps “after three number one albums you would have thought I’d feel amazing; still impatient.” The 22-year-old Houston native is referring to his production on (Kanye West’s) Yeezus, (JAY Z’s) Magna Carta… Holy Grail and (Wale’s) The Gifted, and yet even with those accolades under his belt he’s still hungry for more. Alongside the release of the aforementioned album, the eccentric rapper toured the world hoping to build on his international presence. A success would be an understatement, as Scott’s forthcoming debut album, which is currently in the works, is one of the more anticipated LPs of 2015. For a glimpse into his life on tour, the Grand Hustle recording artist met up with Minami of JPOP music group CREAM to explore the vibrant surroundings of Tokyo.
