Another one of the Midwest’s brightest young talents, Dayo Gold, is back to unleash his single “Came Up”. This cut gives you a feeling of hope, not only for music, but for the people of the world. Music is supposed to evoke emotion and clense the soul of it’s problems. It might not take all of them away, but it is a natural high when an artist connects with a listener. While Tariq Ali delivered some soulful production, Dayo’s style is what wins me over. It’s cool and collected, but doesn’t lack any confidence. He’s rapping about real life, instead of the foolish flexing. This kid is onto something, stay tuned for more work.
