Derek Pope unleashed two impeccable records on us, which include the likes of “Pool” and “Small Conversations at Parties.” These two records have different feels to them, because one is more depressing than the other, but both are equally as wavy. I love the melodies in the instrumentals so much. Derek borrows elements of indie, electronic, and R&B music and puts them into one cohesive piece of art, which is what makes him so dope to me.
