Charlie Burg has a magnetic sound that sonically hypnotizes his audiences ear. His new EP titled Three, Fever is a magnificent opus of sounds that is soon to take over the modern music world. It’s been a while since I’ve been blown away by a project, but Charlie truly reveals his unhindered creative layers. The instrumentation blends through a number of genres, and often halfway through each song. “Moog Jam 1” is a wild ride that forces you to move around a bit. “Saturday Hymnal/ Bad Dreams” is a double sided sword of passion tip-toeing through the skies with Burg’s lush falsetto tone. Songs like “Avalanche” featuring Austenyo tear up the dance floor in a modern take of power-driving pop. But these songs can’t be contained in the barriers of categorization, it’s really a melding of styles. “Make You Wait” is a lust-filled approach with some quite unique percussion, but Charlie once again prevails in a golden aura. Hans bellows through in his baritone bars showing the dark side of the moon until acidic guitar laces the scene again. Each cut has such insane progression throughout the song it’s quite evident by the end of this project Burg is a fine-tuned musician. Well, I could hit you with these synonyms and descriptive verbiage all day, but just stream Charlie Burg‘s new EP Three, Fever because this shit is tight.
