District of Columbia representative and DIAMONDCUTTERZ affiliate DJ Hav has done something truly special with this one. The Homeboy Sandman friend and fan took it upon himself to dig deep into the seemingly lost discography of rising emcee Homeboy Sandman. On Orphans Hav mixes and remixes guest appearances, exclusives, radio freestyles, and mostly unheard verses into a cohesive 80 minute project that segues from cut to cut. Production ranges from authentic beats by Paul White and 2 Hungry Bros, to jacked beats from Dilla and Mickey Facts. If the goal of this tape was to reinforce the theory that Boy Sand literally have endless bars that he can skillfully spit over just about any type of instrumental, then DJ Hav may have presented the strongest argument with this sonic thesis. You may have to roll a few for this one and let it ride.
