Although Drake has set records on Billboard before, he has never scored a number one single. After seeing The Weekend‘s “The Hills” drop off, it looked like Drake was next up with his smash hit, “Hotline Bling,” which is currently at No. 2 in the Hot 100.
Unfortunately, due to his major deal with Apple Music, he couldn’t reach the number one spot. Because it streamed on Apple Music rather than YouTube, Drake couldn’t gather those necessary streams that would have helped him push to the next level. Oh well, I guess $30 Million dollars will make your sorrows a little better. Until next time, Drake.
