With music sales going through the shitter these days, reaching platinum status is becoming increasingly harder for new musicians. Most artist these days can barely gold status, let alone selling over a million copies of their album this year. Anyways, as most expected, Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late has officially earned himself platinum status at 1 million sold. This album now joins Drake’s 2010 album Thank Me Later (1.8 million), his Take Care (2.26 million) album, and his most recent concept album, Nothing Was The Same (1.72 million).
