E is on quite the run as of late, but this is truly what artist development is all about, taking the time to polish the craft. Over the past 12 months, we have seen this young man not only extend the reach of his music and respective brand but he’s also improved vastly from a musical standpoint. Whatever cadence E decides to utilize and with a bit of help from Coach Cam or in this instance, Rocco Roy., we hear a side of Kentucky none of us have ever witnessed before.
“Beat Em Down” is arrogant and is essentially E‘s answer to whether or not this kid can bar the fuck out. The billowing bassline, melded with that sample paints the picture for an ominous opportunity. With direction from Jordan Phillips and Ethan Dickens, we see E at a random Bob Sumerel Tires in Indiana. Crisp edits, raw talent, and a drone shot from Eric Olano to draw us in all only add to the cinematic brilliance before us.
With the spring on the way, rumor has it E has a project dropping in April. Stay tuned for a date, but this one sounds scary good, trust the fatty. Don’t sleep on some of the best music to ever come out of Kentucky and stream this gas below.
