Showtime Jay is name that’s been circulating through the industry over the last few months despite the fact the artist has little to no music out. The LA based artist has some interesting arms around him and people in his corner coming out the gate. Jay is an illusive and pretty pop R&B hip-hop crossover that has mass potential to reach stardom. His first visual release, “VIP,” showcases not only Jay’s smooth aesthetic, but also his interestingly dark and introspective style of making music. The track deals with Showtime posted in the VIP section deep in thought, while putting a smile on for who he’s surrounded by in the moment. The track speaks to the common notion for many young people that use things like drugs and the club to take their mind off things, but it doesn’t work for everyone.
