Freddie Gibbs has been formally charged with sexual abuse today after being extradited to Austria last month. According to a spokesman in Vienna, Freddie Gibbs is currently facing up to 10 years in prison for having sex with a woman “while she was in a defenseless state.”
Gibbs lawyer has released the following statement:
“While Freddie Gibbs was charged with an offense today, it remains only an allegation, and it does not in any way change the actual facts that Freddie Gibbs is 100 percent innocent.”
UPDATE: Following his sexual assault charges in Austria, Reuters is new reporting that Gibbs has posted bail of $56,560, and has handed over his passport to the authorities as well. Stay tuned for more information regarding the situation.
