Thesis by Isaac Zale (Ft UnoTheActivist)
Isaac Zale has been on a tear as of late. Continually dropping fire after fire record, and “Thesis” is no different. This song is a melodic trap banger that takes influence from modern hip-hop and R&B. With smooth flows that are irresistible, Zale has a knack for songwriting. We also get blessed with a stellar UnoTheActivist feature. It’s straight gas and brings that real Atlanta influence to the song. All in all, this is a fantastic track.
Titties by Invada (Ft Saint Lyor)
This is my introduction to Invada, and I’m honestly blown away with “Titties”. This sleek banger brings forth a lot of personality from Invada and Van Buren’s own Saint Lyor. The song is high-energy and goes crazy in the whip (trust me, it goes dumb). The visuals are dope as well. I’m looking forward to seeing more from Invada because I think he has a massive amount of potential.
Video Girl by Daniel Price
“Sometimes in this li-i-life, The more you try, the more it falls apart”! That line has been stuck in my head since “Video Girl” dropped. It’s been highly relatable in my personal life, and I feel like that’s one of Daniel Price’s best qualities. Being able to say something that everyone thinks in a poetic yet straightforward way. This dude is a true songwriter! The song is a master class of merging contemporary R&B with the hook-focused nature of Pop. It’s straight gas! Make sure you learn the name before you are left behind!
Underdog by Big Taie
THIS IS A HEATER! “Underdog” is a fresh take on the bubbling style of the new Era of SoundCloud Rap. Big Taie gives us some great bars like “I’m not making rap anymore; this is art,” and it just hits. I love the unique production and all the shimmering elements to it. Also, the video is hard as hell, utilizing a bunch of clean shots to show who Big Taie is! This is dope as hell; check it out!
Sinister Love by Danny Diamonds (Ft Eazyly)
Danny Diamonds is back and better than ever. “Sinister Love” is a song I see myself having on constant rotation. The hook is incredibly catchy, and the verses are melodic in the best way possible. The production by Eazyly is top tier as well, setting an excellent vibe for Danny to get to work on!
Survivor’s Guilt by Saba (ft G Herbo)
Saba has a lot to say on this single, and I’m all ears. He discusses the issues of having survivors guilt and coming from a place with steep poverty, mentioning growing up in a food desert and the untimely passing of his cousin. This is a heavy record. G Herbo gives a solid verse about coming from the trenches and becoming a successful businessman. A genuine rag to riches story is told throughout his verse. This is a banger, but I enjoy the social commentary!
