SUVs by Jack Harlow (ft Pooh Shiesty)
Jack Harlow comes with a record for the streets on “SUVs”. This is one of his most brutal hitting records to date, and I can only see him delving more into this style for later release. Jack focuses on turning his life into something lavish and how he can do it for those around him. Pooh Shiesty adds his Memphis roots into the record, making it even grittier than his collaborator.
Oou Oou by Fredo Bang (ft Coi Leray)
“Oou Oou” is a fun record that I can see going viral on Tik Tok. Fredo Bang links with Coi Leray, who has a chokehold on this type of record. The two give us fun melodic flows that complacent the bouncy instrumental. It’s an extremely easy listen, and I recommend you play it around the baddest girls you know.
49er by 99 Neighbors
Preparing for the release of their debut project, 99 Neighbors has been dropping some of their best music to date. “49er” is a single that makes me highly excited for the complete project and shows you the sonic direction 99 Neighbors is moving towards. The beautiful singing is completed by thought-provoking verses. I love the use of distortion on the background vocals that come in throughout the song.
Talk Words by Bickle
Bickle has been on my radar since the smash record “Naked”. “Talk Words” plays with the current trends in indie music, utilizing slick guitars and beautiful vocal layering. I love the experimental nature of the track; it’s one of a kind and adds to Bickle’s artistry.
Oyster by Hadji Gaviota
Hadji Gaviota just dropped his new EP PASTIMES, and it’s out of this world! Oyster is easily finding its way in constant rotation for me. I love the clever lyricism and fun demeanor he brings on the record. Not to mention this thing is just catchy as fuck! Check out the whole EP, and let me know what your favorite song is!
Got Me Like by Amaria (ft Mick Jenkins)
If you know me, I’m a sucker for some good Neo-Soul, and Amaria delivers each drop. On “Got Me Like”, she showcases her angelic singing and masterful songwriting. I’m enamored by her and her silky delivery. We also get a crisp verse from Mick Jenkins, which is always a pleasure. This is some dope Neo-Soul for your playlist!
