3 Heads* by Jean Dawson

Jean Dawson has returned with one of his best releases since Pixel Bath. “3 Heads*” is a record relating fucked up people to three-headed monsters. I love the multiple-layered production and the dynamic changes to the record. The cadences he catches are bouncy and aggressive. I’m excited to hear his next project because the growth in the music is insane. Jean Dawson will always be one of my favorite artists on the rise, and he easily has some of the best visuals in the game.

Dip! by Kenny Mason (ft DavidTheTragic)

“Dip!” is an absolute bop, and the lofi nature of the track is divine. Longtime friends Kenny Mason and DavidTheTragic reconnect on one of their best collaborations to date. I could listen to this record in so many contexts; the song’s adaptability is impressive. Kenny has been working to become one of the greatest up-and-coming hip-hop artists, deserving all of the accolades coming to him.

Don’t Check Me by Larry June

Larry June has always been a go-to if you need a player’s anthem. “Don’t Check Me” takes Pimpin to a whole other level. “Don’t check me n*gga, Check that bitch” is some real playa shit. The production is in the bay area, and Larry is unapologetic throughout the run time. I’m always a fan of laidback raps with great one-liners and wordplay; this record has all that and more. Check this one out when you have the time.

Q-pid by 2Rare (ft Lil Durk)

I’m always in the mood to listen to an upbeat/fun party record. 2Rare always comes with the right energy over great production, allowing for some refreshing songs. “Qu-pid” is nothing but a banger; the uptempo production lays the background for a remarkable record. Also, the Lil Durk feature is an excellent addition to the record and will grow the reach 10fold.

Don’t Look At The Numbers by Tony Shhnow (ft Brent Faiyaz)

Tony Shhnow has a fucking hit on his hands with “Don’t Look At The Numbers”. Some classic R&B production juxtaposed with some gritty bars is a combination for success. Brent Faiyaz has one of his best guest features on this record as well, adding a dynamic switch up to the record. This is a delightful song, tap in!

Can’t Swim by Grimm Lynn

Grimm Lynn is someone I discovered this past week, and “Can’t Swim” has crept into my rotation. I love the smooth vocals alongside the modern alternative R&B production. It made for a surprisingly good record; I’ve put all m friends on to the song they have impressed me. Join the wave before this artist blows up!
