Lost And Found Freestyle 2019 by Nigo (ft A$ap Rocky and Tyler, The Creator)

Multimedia creative Nigo has been creating a lot of excitement with the rollout of his project I Know Nigo. We’ve got fresh tracks from Lil Uzi, Kid Cudi, Tyler, The Creator. This is the most excited I’ve been for—project in a long while. Today the project dropped, and I’ve been blown away with it, especially “Lost and Found Freestyle 2019”. This is an explosive track with A$ap Rocky giving his all in his verse. The production on the first leg of the track reminds me of an older cut from him, but it’s ridiculous. However, the beat switches once Tyler, The Creator, begins laying his verse, and it encapsulates his unique personality. This is an excellent record!

Same N**ga by Fellz (Ft 7981Kal)

Fellz has been growing a name for himself with consistent drops and great songs. “Same N**ga” is a perfect example of why he’s such a talent coming out of Massachusetts. With melodic flows and great pockets, Fellz flaots all over the production. This record also has a great 7981Kal that pushes the song’s narrative forward and completes it. This is a prominent feature to get out of the state, and hopefully, it brings more eyes to the music because it deserves it!

Lonestar by Monét Ngo

“Lonestar” by Monét Ngo has come across my timeline this past week, which is usually a sign I need to tap in. Upon listening to the song, I was mesmerized by the use of Monét’s voice and engineering on the record. The effects used on his vocal are masterful, and so much creativity to the track. Sometimes, you can’t distinguish if it’s a guitar or just the vocals. I love It! I’m excited to see what other releases Monét Ngo has in store for us this year.

Tamagotchi by Omar Apollo

If you don’t know by now, I am a huge fan of Omar Apollo and Pharrell. So how could I miss the chance to write about a collaboration between Omar and The Neptunes? “Tamagotchi” is a record I’ve been waiting for since I saw Instagram pictures of the studio session. I love how bouncy the bass is on the record and how Apollo takes a more rap-centric approach to the song. It shows his range, and he does it so well! The lyrics are more lighthearted on this record and are him just feeling himself. Go off, my guy! I highly recommend this track!

Heavenly by Lil Tracy

I’ve seen Lil Tracy live multiple times, and I’m always going to support new music from him. However, with “Heavenly,” I didn’t expect the stylistic growth I would hear. This record mixes hyper pop, early 2000s electronic, and emo rap. This doesn’t seem unique in this genre-bending era we live in, but I’ve honestly never heard anything like it before. I can tell this will be polarizing for fans, but I’m excited to see the growth and how Tracy steps into a new era.

Playlist by Chanel Loren

“Playlist” by Chanel Loren is a cute record that will have you thinking about your crush. The R&B runs, and the use of her voice is impeccable. I love the laid-back production; it’s very reminiscent of something Soulection would have made. The lyrics are beautifully torn and wanting for something that isn’t there! Add this to your playlist!
