Waiting On You by Omar Apollo

Ivory is out, and I’m ecstatic. Since it was announced, I’ve been waiting on this album, and it doesn’t disappoint. I’m enamored by Omar Apollo’s versatility and poise with the wide range of styles. Tracks ranging from Hip-hop to Neo-soul and even a little bedroom pop. “Waiting On You” is one of the more personal records on the album. Driving percussion and an airy guitar riff make for a calm record. His vocalizations on the record are equally as impressive!

Get My Shit Together by Johan Lenox (ft THOUXANBANFAUNI)

Stings, Strings, Strings! How much more gorgeous can a song be, you may ask? Well, “Get My Shit Together” is the absolute peak. I think this might be one of Johan’s best performances to date. His voice sounds powerful, and the melodies he catches are straight gold. The production is impeccable as well, along with the THOUXANBANFAUNI feature. Great release from a highly talented musician.

Out Loud by Syd (ft Kehlani)

Syd comes with a smooth love song with “Out Loud”. If you are in need of a slow baby-making jam, then this record is the one you need in your playlist. With classic R&B production and sticky vocals, I would classify this as a BOP. I love the intimate lyricism that makes you reminisce about a lost lover. Kehlani gives a fantastic guest appearance that is the best I’ve heard of her in a minute! Give this record a spin!

Come to God by Brevin Kim

I’m annoyed that I’m just getting around to hearing this record because I’ve had it on replay since. “Come To God” is a listening experience that elicits immense vibes. I love the laid production on this one with the rattling high hats and booming bass. Brevin Kim implements a catchy laid back delivery on this that is easy to sing along to. This isn’t of their more high-energy records, but it’s still masterful!

FWM2 by Tom, The Mail Man

Tom, The Mail Man, has been an artist that I’ve been excited about their growth for a while now. “FWM2” is the exact path I wanted to see him move in; adding elements to hyper pop is a perfect additive to his music. The record has industrial production, adding an edge to the song, and it complements his smooth vocals. I would love to see Tom move more into this style and collaborate with my artists leaning in that direction.

Above Me by Caso

THIS IS STRAIGHT HEAT. “Above Me” is a song you need to play in your car at high volumes. Caso brings major energy to this record, and it comes off electric. Not too many artists have this much Charisma on the mic, and he executed it in the best way possible. Let me know what you think of this song!
