Well over the past couple days, I’ve seen a bunch of people tweeting that Funk Flex is beefing with Jay Z, so naturally, I had to do my research. After a couple Google searches, the Hot 97 radio DJ went on a huge rant against Jay Z, more specifically, his “Life + Times” website, which he repeatedly called “TRASH.”
Since this rant gets quite annoying — with the use of a Funk Flex bomb every 3 seconds — I’ll put a couple quotes for ya:
During the beginning of the rant, Flex details that a couple of years ago he was interviewed about his DJ Funk Flex app by Life + Times, and even though it seemed like a legit interview, the interview was actually used that to create their own app in an attempt to recreate Flex’s app (according to Flex). Yesterday, Funk gets another e-mail from Life + Times to do another interview about his involvement in the forthcoming Dipset mixtape. And this time, this email seemed to push Funk over the edge.
He says, “you KNOW my involvement.” He then added:
“I don’t understand how someone from that site can ask me my involvement in the Dipset reunion, but when I used to go out to the 40/40 I was told not to play any Dipset records. I’m so confused.”
“The site is trash, a bunch of dumb big pictures and no numbers. Y’all can’t move with me in this digital space.”
“You wanna know how we movin’, and what’s the next move, I know it, I’m not stupid. Y’all played me with the app already and I figured that out. But I let y’all slide and you took what I said for ‘I’m soft’, that’s why I’m dealing with you today.”
