Future Hendrix’s highly anticipated new album Dirty Sprite 2 is making headlines once again. After garnering much attention with the album, it looks like the beautifully crafted artwork was purchased from a cloud-based image site.
The now infamous artist, Sanja Tošić, posted the image to Shutterstock, which was later bought and used for Future’s highly acclaimed new album. While talking to FADER, the visual artist said:
“I’m 110 percent it’s mine,” she told The FADER. “I’m selling these images on stock sites… [It] Belongs to series Silky Smooth. This picture was sold last month.”
Shutterstock pays its artists around 40-50% for each sale, which means Future most likely paid $160 at most for the DS2 artwork. WOW, what a great story.
