Grandace is real musician. His ability to produce such lush soundscapes through instrumentation only validates my previous statement. Then he adds his passionate, yet laid-back vocals and we immediately make a connection to the wave he constructs. The approach is gentle, but isn’t to be taken lightly. Ace‘s voice resonates with peace and speaks to our insecurities at times.
This isn’t arrogant, braggadocios rap, instead I like to call this life music. On “Satellites” the chords wash over our heads and we are taken to another place. His incredibly catchy chorus is seared into our memory, but not in an overtly annoying way. It’s more of a pleasant reminder that in these days, we need to have a sense of resilience. Good music is supposed to ease your pain and give you some time for reflection. It heals the soul and a song like this does exactly that. Thank you Grandace, give the bro some flowers and peep the gas below.
