Chances are you probably haven’t heard tophillfreddo‘s name but you will sooner than later. The rapper just dropped off his new project FAITH executively produced by FISH. FAITH sounds like a trip, a trip through the tumultuous yet short life of tophillfreddo. After my first listening, it sounds like the culmination of Freddo‘s life up until this very moment. By no means am I saying FAITH is his Magnum Opus… he’s just getting started.
The intro “DESTINY” is an experience, the true embodiment of FAITH. It’s the law of attraction, its manifestation, its confidence. freddo knows he’s the chosen one, and unlike others who are comfortable with having a plan b; he’s giving himself no other option than to make it to the top.
After “DESTINY” comes one of my favorite songs of 2022, “HML”. Freddo slides on the whole track switching his flow, his cadence, his tone; it’s a perfect song Freddo.
“OASIS” may be one of the most energetic ballads ever. Freddo hopes to never be counted out by the one he wants the most and he’s not afraid to let her know that she’s one of his motivators. “MIRACLES” follows that same notion. It’s a ballad, but more so a telling himself, “It’s gonna work” out type of love song. It’s a love song to himself, he knows he deserves it all.
After his single that came out last week, “ANGELS” we have an ethereal outro track titled “GOATED”. It’s spacey, authentic, lively, and filled with bars. FAITH is a big step in tophillfreddo‘s career, he seems to be putting the pieces together quite quickly. I can’t wait to play the brakes off of FAITH, and I can’t wait to hear what else Freddo has in store for the new year.
