Any time Boy Sand crosses the pond (digitally or literally) to connect with the great Paul White on anything from a track to a project, the result is always the same. White you should know from way before his latest achievement, but he is responsibly for several of the instrumentals on the critically acclaimed Danny Brown album Old. Now that you know where Paul stands, you can see why his groundbreaking, out of the box production with oddly paired instruments and power samples are a choice jump off for Homeboy to spit the one-of-a-kind type bars the Queens emcee has proven he can deliver regularly. In August of 2012 the two minds met on the star studded Rapping With Paul White album for the track A Weird Day.” Building upon that eccentric song, the twosome offer up “Wade In The Water” – the first from a 7 track record titled White Sands set to drop February 25th on Stones Throw Records. This Homeboy release will be the final in a three part series pairing him with a single producer, Kool Herc: Fertile Crescent with El Rntc and All That I Hold Dear with M Slago being the other two. He’ll then jet set to tour from London to Hamburg, including a date with White at the Garage. Shout out to the Fisk Jubilee Singers.
