Last Spring, Long Beach native Huey Briss dropped his sophomore album Grace Park Legends, a strong project containing impressive features, solely produced by Nikobeats. This week, Huey Briss returned with his go-to producer Nikobeats to start the  year off strong with a two pack containing “Losing My Faith” and “Thought n Actions.” Huey Briss is definitely a prominent name in the next generation of west coast hip hop and these tracks are a perfect representation of his west coast roots, as well as showing his impressive pen is still in top shape for 2022.

“Losing My Faith” was also accompanied by a visual, the black and white video directed by Phx W displays various performance shots of Huey around the LA area alongside a variety of unique and eye-catching effects.

It’d be unfair to compare Huey to some of the originators of this west coast sound, as he’s truly crafting a new genre of his own while still paying homage to the styles of west coast legends. I see Huey as one of the most polished and promising up and coming artists of 2022 and definitely expect big things from him over this next year. Check out the visual for Losing My Faith down below.
