DC favorite and one of Houston’s hidden gems, Javon Johnson is back on our delightful pages with possibly his dopest project to date. It titled All The Gear, no idea, and, while a short project, is definitely a great listen front to back. Johnson does more than just put together a collection of songs, he pieces them together intricately all throughout the creative process, and adds in some nice samples and skits along the way.
It all comes together fantastically, and results in one of the sharper projects I’ve heard from any underground cat this year. He’s progressing at an eye-catching rate, and is 100% someone to keep an eye on going forward.
