Jay Z and Timbaland finally receive the victory sign over the sample they used on the hook of “Big Pimpin'” featuring UGK. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Osama Fahmy said they used the sample without their authorization, while the owner of EMI Records said the duo had the rights to use it — which is the company that owns the rights to the sample. The suit was filed back in 2007, so this took about eight years to finally reach a decision. Wow, you go Jay.
