Part 2 starts with The Progressive Era members talking to Nick Huff Barili about being influenced by MF Doom and J Dilla. Joey goes on to call Pro Era’s own Chuck Strangers one of the best producers he knows and says they are going to make history together. As the interview continues Nick asks where Pro Era fits into today’s hip hop scene that is dominated by music for the club. Joey responds that they are trying to make underground mainstream! Joey goes on to say that Premo reached out to him and that they are hoping to work together in the future. After talking about Odd Future comparisons, Joey says that he rather work with TDE’s Ab Soul. Although J Cole and Kendrick Lamar used to be his favorite rappers, Joey states that he is now his own favorite rapper. Before wrapping up the interview Joey talks about not going back to High School but that he is going to finish a different way and that he wants to focus on making new music when he gets home from touring.
