Kanye West has once again changed the game. It is being reported that the red Nike Air Yeezy 2s that Kanye debuted on Saturday Night Live will be dropping on June 18th, which coincides with the release of his new album. But there’s a catch. The only way that guarentees you a chance to buy these shoes will be a ticket placed inside his new album to be sold across the country. This pretty much eliminates all chances of camp outs or riots at your local sneaker boutique that receives exclusives. It all makes sense now why Kanye decided to take his album off of pre-order on iTunes and everywhere else. Word is that there will be only 1000 tickets available in the world. Is it me or is is this just one of the best marketing plan for an album release ever? Don’t expect Kanye to sell anything less than a million first week for Yeezus.
UPDATE: Heidi Burgett of NIKE confirmed that this is only a rumor, but the shoe is set to debut later this year.
