For some hip-hop fans, the two years between when good kid, m.A.A.d. city and To Pimp A Butterfly dropped were tougher simply because they were void of a project from Kendrick Lamar, but they won’t have to deal with that this time around. It appears as though the ones at the top of TDE’s food-chain also aren’t willing to wait another two years for Kendrick’s next showing:
Everything’s pointing towards the label cycling through its roster, dropping albums from each member until it circles back around to Lamar. Excluding Jay Rock, who’s newly-released 90059 album is still getting a LOT of burn from us, that’s four major albums to campaign and release within two years. Time will tell how things play out, I’m honestly just really fuckin’ excited for new music from TDE—namely Isaiah Rashad (can I get an amen?).
Anyways, keep it locked to see what’s next from the TDE cast and crew, and go cop Rock’s 90059 album HERE while you’re at it.
