Although the release was fucked up by the label, Kendrick Lamar‘s To Pimp A Butterfly album was still able to produce record-breaking numbers — with King Kendrick ruling the charts this week. K Dot’s sophomore studio effort has officially debuted at number one on the Billboard charts, selling an estimated 318,988 copies in its first week out.
Not only that, but Kendrick also broke the Spotify record for most global streams in one day.
Believe it or not, this is actually Kendrick Lamar’s first number one album; with good kid m.A.A.d city debuting at number two back in 2012. You go, Kendrick.
