Let’s downshift a moment and take it back to a time when bouncing West Coast clap beats brought forth heavily flowing and aggressive bars, and when soulfully sung hooks mattered on a track. Tacoma’s consistently-rising rapper King Leez and Bay Area partner Guce hand off the first collaborative loosie “Just That Type” from the upcoming project Bully Lyfe, which also tacks on a fresh feature from legend Kokane for your rolling up and listening needs.
While the project was actually recorded in 2014 before Guce was locked up, the rest of the album from the Black Umbrella affiliate will be coming to these pages before Leez finishes up his follow up solo project Supreme 2. Also shout out Leez and Guce for the hilarious Coming To America tribute on the cover art. Enjoy!
