Kofi is a 20 year-old Toronto native, currently living in Los Angeles. His new project is only four songs long. The emotional lyrics, layered vocals, and chord progressions are definitely that of a young artist emulating what he favors in popular music. There is potential for Kofi to make this kind of music, but better, back home in Toronto as opposed to Los Angeles. Los Angeles seems to inform the sun-soaked feeling “Nobody” gives off, but the rest of the music has that Toronto vibe that can’t seem to be shaken off.
