Hailing from Oakland, California, Lew has been taking the music scene by storm, signing to the likes of Nas’ record label Mass Appeal and dropping heaters left and right. The 25-year-old recently dropped off a project titled RAINMAN, consisting of six tracks that are curated for every listener. Lew has managed to keep his foot on the gas, consistently posting on both Instagram and TikTok and garnering new fans when doing so. On top of dropping heaters, the creative team behind him compliment his sound effortlessly, including top tier production and top-of-the-line visuals. We often look over wordplay and lyrics when production has been carrying a lot of the music scene but it’s different with Lew. With each song telling it’s own story and living through his life with the hardships he’s endured as well as the success he’s worked hard for and managed to grasp. Going through his Instagram is truly an experience, witnessing the come-up towards the point of when he publicly announced his signing to Nas. A few of my personal favorites include “FigureD ouT,” “TalK 2 mE,” and “waY bacK wheN.” As we near Q4 of 2024, I’m confident that Lew will become a household name to many with his unique sound and mainstream-ready production.
