Earlier this month Lil Peep rolled out the standalone single and accompanying visual for the haunting and contagious loosie “Benz Truck.” If the rapidly rising play counts are any indicator, listeners are ready for the approaching release of Come Over When You’re Sober rumored to be set for release this summer. While it has been making the rounds on unofficial channels the past couple weeks, today Peep properly throws a second punch with the official release of the bass heavy “Honestly.” Perhaps one of his most overt vocal attempts at tapping into the industrial rock that shaped the impact of figures like Trent Reznor in years past, Peep’s affinity for elevating the snare-driven production by Horsehead with aggressive melodies and inflections bodes well for what is to come from the highly anticipated LP.
