The album long time Lupe Fiasco fans have been waiting for is finally here. It has been three years(actually two years, eight months and 5 days) since Food And Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album was released. Though he never left, Lupe is back and has taken the role of Hip-Hop’s personal pizza man and delivered (Yes, I did it) what he calls “A thematic and utterly lyrical masterclass” and his least flawed album.

To kick off the celebration, Lu did a live interview with DJ Skee to discuss the album among a litany of other topics. What I like so much about this particular sit down session, is that Lu is genuinely happy about the album that he made and even more ecstatic that it is finally being released. There’s also more music to come, but for now we can bask in Fiasco’s grand result of 15 years of trial, error, and dedication to his craft. Lupe’s fifth studio album Tetsuo And Youth and last on Atlantic Records(Shout out to DJ Busy), is available in stores and on iTunes today. Check below for places to buy the album along with the 56 minute long interview.
