Word broke today that Mac Miller’s label, Remember Music has officially signed a deal with the Warner Bros. label. According to The FADER, it’s rumored to be worth a hefty sum of $10 million. With Warner, Miller will be able to sign and develop artists, as well as release his own music through them.
He had this to say about the signing:
“Warner is the most independent thinking company I met with. It is a partnership and now I can focus on building my label Remember through music and let them handle everything I don’t like doing. Nothing will change in how I do things.”
It seems like a dream situation for the Pittsburgh native and, in celebration of the signing, Miller dropped a new song. It’s called “Just Some Raps, Nothing to See Here, Move Along” and is produced by regular collaborative SAP.
Long live hip hop.
