70’s soul and funk band Aquarian Dream are evidently suing Mac Miller for use of their song on his highly acclaimed mixtape Faces, even though the mixtape was released a free project.

According to TMZ, they want Mac Miller to cough up £150,000 — roughly 170,000 in US dollars — in damages after he “stole” the instrumental for “Yesterday (Was So Nice Today)” and used it for “Therapy,” one of his standout singles from the project.

It’s been reported that Mac’s camp reached out for clearance of the sample, but after no response, they decided to use anyways.
