23-year old Harlem-Malian Mamadou. is a self described poet, songwriter and filmmaker, and on his newest release Poems That Bled From The Soul. he is flexing the poet title above all others. Warm, ambient sound waves bounce around in the backdrop as Mamadou‘s soothing but firm voice cuts through the air to deliver a introspective, meditative message track after track. At the close, he delivers a melodic soul-soother over some acoustic guitar with A Rose Told Me About Love. I haven’t taken the time to listen through a project like this in a long time and, after this refreshing glass of a caressing mental break, I think I’ll be back for more. Check it out below.
