Meet Justin Mohrle. A 23 year old from Garland, Texas, who seemingly is unknown to the world –for me not to know him is saying something. Now, instead of being unknown: he’s been signed to Dr. Dre. Dre has really brought a lot of rappers to the top – Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar, just to name a few. After hearing his demo tape that Justin made in Dallas with Southern legend The D.O.C., Dre decided to hop on the situation quick. Justin has been spending almost every day in Dre’s Sherman Oaks home – Dre’s recording studio.
Justin’s management carefully had him the shadows –knowing some things needed to stay classified. Rumor has it, he has been working with BJ The Chicago Kid and Gwen Stefani. He’s said that almost every hour of every day is spent writing lyrics in Dre’s studio.
In 2012, Justin released a mixtape called 21: Live Forever, a mixtape under the alias “Love, JT.” It was well regarded among Dallas hip hop heads, crowning Justin as a potential star early on.
As Justin keeps working with Dre and keeps getting closer and closer to his big break, we’re tracking his music and his progression because this story is interesting as fuck.
