The world is always in need of music from Mick Jenkins. Then to tap Kaytranada once again for this soulful sample flip is ridiculous by itself. Jenkins has been on the scene for a few years now, and his music has never lacked honesty. “What Am I To Do” is Mick showing his hand, but pushing through the trials to make sure his legacy is cemented. This powerful duo reminds me of Anderson and Knxwledge, but instead of the vocals runs, it’s pure heat aimed at your temple. Keep spazzing Mick, we need more ASAP.
