The culmination of Mike of Doom’s releases over the past several months comes today in the form of The Campaign, a 16-track project that is definitely Doom’s best to date. From the production (credits include Big Los, Jaylen!, Trip Dixon & more) to the few but quality features, Mike is able to capture and keep your attention through his unique style and raw lyrics, creating a different musical experience with every song. Though you’ll hear trap influences, you can’t really put a label on Mike’s music. It’s not like any subgenre of hip hop, it’s a style all his own. Overall, I really dig this project. It may not be for everyone, but I’m sure there’s something everyone will like about this project.
